DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday\, September 8\, 2023\, from 8:00 am till 11:00 am for a Day of Service HERE AT THE RIVER PARK: 12108 Industry Rd\, Lakeside\, CA 92040\n\nThis is an opportunity to enjoy a morning with family and friends helping to take care of our river bed.  Careful removal of trash from the San Diego River Bed improves the health of the river ecosystem and all the creatures that depend upon it.  Volunteers will bag trash and place items in provided containers\n\nT-Shirts will be handed out to all who pre-register and bottled water will be on hand if you forget to bring your own\, compliments of United Way.\n\nCAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU HERE!!\n\n* Families\, corporate groups and service groups are welcome\n\n* Minors must be accompanied by an adult\n\n* Closed-toed shoes and long pants required\n\n* Sun protection is highly recommended: hat\, sunscreen\, sunglasses\, etc\n\n* Bring a reusable water bottle\n\n* Tools and supplies will be provided... BUT...\n\n* ... If you have a favorite pair of work gloves\, snake gaiters\, or 'grabbing' tool to pick up trash\, then please feel free to bring them!\n\n* Restroom facilities available\n\n* Plan for walking on uneven terrain\, stooping\, and bending
